&lt;P&gt; 博尔顿於1874年成立，是1888年足球联盟的创立成员之一。他们在1923年首度取得足总杯，并在1926和1929年再温好梦。与此同时，博尔顿在联赛亦有不俗表现，在1921和1925年取得联赛季军。&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;　　在名宿罗夫豪斯 (Nat Lofthouse) 带领下，博尔顿於1958年足总杯决赛以2-0击败曼联，取得其历来第四次冠军。然而球队其后便不断沉沦，直至1987年更一度降至丁组联赛，但球队自此便告反弹，并在1995年升级附加赛中胜出，取得升上英超的资格。&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;　　古旧的伯顿球场终於退出历史舞台，在锐步球场落成后，博尔顿在1997及2000年再获升级资格，并且一直保持着英超席位。&lt;br&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

球队通告：
2006.6.31 球队用锋线球员Makinwa和Atalanta交换了后防球员Simic外加4M资金，Simic可以用以加强后防线的板凳深度，他在队中将会充当替补中卫和替补右后卫的角色，而那4M资金也可以缓解俱乐部的财政压力．
2006.4.6 球队在联赛的第一和第二轮中，客场2:1，主场4:3力克ACMILAN取得了联赛两连胜，这是一个良好的开局，希望这种良好的势头能够一直延续下去．
2006.4.8 球队在联赛的第三和第四轮中，主场3:0，客场4:2击败强敌罗马，取得联赛四连胜，目前以12分暂列联赛榜首，也是甲级联赛中前四轮唯一取得全胜战绩的球队，可以说这是个不大不小的奇迹，主教练和助教都对球队目前的情况表示满意和乐观，希望这种好状态能一直持续下去．
2006.4.9 由于球队在联赛开始的前四轮保持全胜，所以在今天公布的月度最佳球员和球队阵容评选中有多人入选，其中kapo成为了月度最佳新人，C.Lucarelli，Coloccini和Kapo进入了月度最佳阵容，这对于球队来说无疑又是一项利好，对球队的士气也起到了很大的鼓舞作用．
2006.4.9 在下午进行的联赛杯比赛中，虽然球队在客场以4:3逆转战胜Lazio，但是在主场却0:3败北，因此以4:6的比分无缘下一轮，本轮联赛杯的比赛暴露了球队一定的问题，尤其是第二场在形势打好的情况下出现轻敌和放松的情况，导致最后出局，因此值得全队上下好好反省． 
2006.4.11 在晚上进行的联赛中，球队再次和Lazio相遇，结果在客场0:1憾负，主场2:2被对手逼平，失去了榜首的位置，两场比赛球队都表现得不错，只是主教练在换人和战术上出现了一些失误，需要好好总结；
2006.4.13 在晚上进行的联赛第七轮和第八轮比赛中，球队在主场2:0力克马竞，虽然在客场0:3告负，但是仍然保住了联赛第二的位置，仅比第一的拜仁差1分；
2006.5.16 在第三转会期中，博尔顿进行了三笔交易，用蒙特拉交换了博卡的萨尼奥尔，加强了最薄弱的右后卫位置，同时把兰扎特以7M卖出，暂时解决了俱乐部的经济危机，并且用simic交换了切尔西的Moussilou，使前锋线的配置重新达到平衡；
