There are 9 Categories you can train in Football Manager:
Strength
Aerobic
Tactics
Ball Control
Defending
Attacking
Shooting
Shot Stopping
Handling
Calculating the Stars
In an ideal situation, you would have a specialist Coach for each of the nine different categories. To reach the maximum stars for each category, a Coach will need different attributes, but three Attributes are the same for every Coach you need. These are:
Determination
Discipline
Motivation
From now on we will refer to these attributes as DDM.
Then using the following formula, you can calculate the amount of stars a coach will get:
Needed Attribut * X + DDM * X
Looks difficult, but believe us when we say this is very easy to apply in your game. We will discuss every category to show you how easy it is.
FITNESS TRAINING
Strength
The formula is: Fitness Training * 9 + DDM * 2
If the outcome is 270 or higher; the coach will get 5 stars.
240-269 = 4.5 stars
210-239 = 4 stars
180-209 = 3.5 stars
150-179 = 3 stars
120-149 = 2.5 stars
90-119 = 2 stars
60-89 = 1.5 stars
30-59 = 1 star
0-29 = 0.5 star
Aerobic
The formula is: Fitness Training * 9 + DDM * 2
If the outcome is 270 or higher; the coach will get 5 stars.
240-269 = 4.5 stars
210-239 = 4 stars
180-209 = 3.5 stars
150-179 = 3 stars
120-149 = 2.5 stars
90-119 = 2 stars
60-89 = 1.5 stars
30-59 = 1 star
0-29 = 0.5 star
GOALKEEPING TRAINING
Shot Stopping
The Formula is: Goalkeepers * 8 + Tactical * 3 + DDM * 3
If the outcome is 360 or higher, the coach will get 5 stars
320-359 = 4.5 stars
280-319 = 4 stars
240-279 = 3.5 stars
200-239 = 3 stars
160-199 = 2.5 stars
120-159 = 2 stars
80-119 = 1.5 stars
40-79 = 1 star
0-39 = 0.5 star
Handling
The Formula is: Goalkeepers * 8 + Technique * 3 + DDM * 3
If the outcome is 360 or higher, the coach will get 5 stars
320-359 = 4.5 stars
280-319 = 4 stars
240-279 = 3.5 stars
200-239 = 3 stars
160-199 = 2.5 stars
120-159 = 2 stars
80-119 = 1.5 stars
40-79 = 1 star

GENERAL TRAINING
Tactics
The Formula is: Tactical * 2 + DDM
If the outcome is 90 or higher, the coach will get 5 stars
80-89 = 4.5 stars
70-79 = 4 stars
60-69 = 3.5 stars
50-59 = 3 stars
40-49 = 2.5 stars
30-39 = 2 stars
20-29 = 1.5 stars
10-19 = 1 star
0-9 = 0.5 star
Ball Control
The Formula is: Technique * 6 + Mental * 3 + DDM * 2
If the outcome is 270 or higher, the coach will get 5 stars
240-269 = 4.5 stars
210-239 = 4 stars
180-209 = 3.5 stars
150-179 = 3 stars
120-149 = 2.5 stars
90-119 = 2 stars
60-89 = 1.5 stars

Defending

Now lets explain it through an example.
You have the following coach under contract:
You would like to know how many stars he will receive for his best attribute: Defending. As you have learned before, you will need the following formula:
Defense * 8 + Tactical * 3 + DDM (you add these three attributes into one number) * 3
The result will be:
15 * 8 + 9 * 3 + 35 * 3 = 120 + 27 + 105 = 252 in total
If we the take a look at the schedule for the Defending Training Category, we see that: 240-279 = 3.5 star. That means that this coach will get a maximum of 3.5 stars for this category.

那个36是这么来的：
决心 = 13

激励 = 14
13 + 9 + 14 = 36
所以，计算公式是：
15 * 8 + 9 * 3 + 36 * 3
= 120 + 27 + 108
= 255

昨晚我用这方法找到一个PA110的5星教练。

厉害了word哥 （满分100分，90分5星，80分4星半）
体能训练：3*体能+2/3*(决心+激励+纪律要求）；
战术训练：2*战术+(决心+激励+纪律要求）；
控球训练：2*技术+1*心理+2/3*(决心+激励+纪律要求）；
防守训练：2*防守+0.75*战术+0.75*(决心+激励+纪律要求）；
进攻训练：2*进攻+1*战术+2/3*(决心+激励+纪律要求）；
射门训练：2*技术+1*进攻+2/3*(决心+激励+纪律要求）；
拦截射门（扑救）：2*守门+1*战术+2/3*(决心+激励+纪律要求）；
手控球：2*守门+1*技术+2/3*(决心+激励+纪律要求）
